A RIIDDLE OF TIME
Years have drifted by
restless and bittersweet
leaving us before
mysterious days to meet
The human mind still wonders
is Paradise truly there
or does Hell await
every soul everywhere
Does the Hereafter exist
with eternity so bright
or when this life is over
does everything lose its light
Do spiritual beings
hidden from mortal sight
guard the gates of Heaven
for the chosen in the light
And the miserable souls
still unforgiven and chained
do they remain in Hell
forever detained
Does virtue truly matter
do sins still leave their trace
and is the path of every life
already set in place
Does justice really exist
are punishments divine
why do people follow
so many faiths in time
Then why the mosque
the church, synagogue the same
if all of humanity
believes in one God’s name
Which faith is the true one
can anybody know
and is Judgment Day
still far or near to show
